Kaffe Fassett–American Museum, Bath

What a fun day!  I met fellow Distant Stitch student Judith A off the train at Bath Spa and we drove up to the American Museum at Claverton.  I had never met Judith before - we had only emailed and talked on Facebook.  The reason for meeting was to visit the recently opened Kaffe Fassett exhibition.  It was a real cacophony of colour and from the moment we arrived I knew we were about to experience something special.  Just look at the lamp and tree decorations!  Inside we were able to see examples of Kaffe’s amazing work – drawings, knits galore, hats, needlepoint, wall hangings, cushions, quits, you name it, it was there.

Here are some of my photos:

Thank you so much for your company, Judith.  If only we could have had a Distant Stitch outing, think of all the chatter.

  7. I am so pleased I decided to post these photos as a reminder. I would have enjoyed it if I had gone by myself but it was extra special to be able to share it. I must keep an eye on his comment board to give me encouragement :-)
