Monoprinting Images – some results and photos are better than others so I decided to leave some out. In my evaluation I said I must take care to clean the Gelli plate more often and not allow a build up of mixed colours.  Mixed colours can look effective but usually not!

Chapter Three - preparation of fabrics, threads & beads for this module.
Looking at my spiral design source for this module in Chapter One I realise I have very few images showing colour.  This choice of turquoise and orange red was made with the child's cot toy in mind in Image 5 but I will try and find a better example.

  1. Tried earlier to open this chapter so its great to see it. You have definately got the dyeing technique across, loved your fabrics. I still have a way to go in being happy with dyeing so it was great to read your notes. Cheers

  2. I do feel more confident with the dyeing now but, like most things, it has been practice! I recommend Helen Deighan's book, Magic Dyeing Made Easy, if you have not already got it.
