In Chapter 7 I started by making some log cabin designs in paper and then converting them into fabric samples using strips of fabric.  In the second part of the chapter I used the Seminole method to create various designs in paper and then made fabric samples from a couple of the designs.  I used my own collection of papers created in a previous chapter and a selection of bought materials.

Chapter Six - revisited

At last!  A selection of my dyed materials

Chapter 6 revisited.  As I said in my previous blog I did not have any success with my first two attempts at cold water dyeing.  I left it a couple of weeks, chatted to friends about my problems and a lady from our Guild offered to assist.  Originally I used three different fabrics but I think one was a mix and therefore did not take the dye.  For this third attempt I made sure I was using pure cotton.
